The only downside to these events is the parting at the end of the event. Why don’t we have one of these every week?

Saturday morning 8:00 a.m. You didn’t want to rake leaves Saturday morning anyway. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=df75cf17-ecac-473d-882d-a06ecdca8269

I wish I could make it to the breakfast, but it’s on a religious holiday….Deer hunting!!

i love our get-togethers too! When I first got active again, it seemed like there WAS an event cache every weekend! I have some places I’d like to put event caches, but I thought that if I arranged and posted them all, I’d wear some of you out!

      Fondy–done
      Manitowoc–scheduled for January

Desired locations for the future (in order of eagerness):

      Appleton
      Oconomowoc
      Osh Kosh/Neenah
      Racine
      Stevens Point
      Wausau

I am SO sorry I missed Janesville, and it was a week after I made the century mark, too–I just couldn’t make it there after late-night halloween partying.

it’s also starting to get chilly and i was wondering if it would be better to save some of those locations for better weather and longer light.

Next time we have a get-together in a state park, any interest in getting a group campsite? that way we can enjoy each other’s company for a greater portion of the day, if we so choose.

And as long as i’m running off at the mouth here (or fingers, actually), any interest in making the december ‘breakfast’ into a Yule party, and celebrating the return of the Big Flashlight in the Sky? Has a host team been picked for December’s event?

Hermione, your enthusiasm is scaring me…. I’m not sure how the others felt about the evening event, but I for one REALLY enjoyed caching all day and then sitting down for a good meal at the END of the day with such a great group. My nocturnal nature, I guess. Of course, if it’s 100 miles away Saturday is probably better for those of us who work Mon-Fri.

Weather and darkness is no longer much of a factor for me. If I’m going caching, I’m going caching!

Are you aware of the WGA campouts we have held the past two years in May, and which we intend to hold again this spring. Click on the “Events” link on the main page for more information. Forgive me if you know all about those and you’re talking about events in addition to those campouts.

Speaking of a geocampout, does anyone know where and when this May’s campout will be (2004)? We’re already trying to keep our calendar open for it.

Just a question, but why is the campout held in May? Doesn’t that get a bit busy with school still in session? I’m sure there have been discussions regarding holding the campout later in the summer. I’m just curious about the reasoning.

Oh, and I will probably be attending the January Thaw (in my neck of the woods) and possibly the Campout (more info is needed, yet!)
