On the Left Side of the Road...07/29/2009 at 1:07 am #1906770He’s just being a nice guy and making way for Michael Vick.
07/29/2009 at 2:39 am #1906771Favre: I’m retiring and this time it’s for good.
Vick: That’s cool, dude. I think you ought to think about getting into dog fighting in your retirement.
Favre: Um, no. If I wanted to play prison football, I’d go shoot someone, not do animal cruelty. Hmm..maybe I WILL go shoot someone. You got Ted Thompson’s address?
Vick: Nope. Sorry, dude.
Favre: Damn.

I don’t know ifhe did it, if I would cry from sorrow or joy!
07/29/2009 at 12:48 pm #1906773After this season’s drama, I don’t know if the results say more about the qualities of Brett Favre or the stupidity of the Vikings organization. I mean, you think the Vikes would have learned a thing or two from the events of previous years.
Then again, maybe Brett’s actions show that he’s a loyal Packer after all, considering the turmoil he’s left the ViQueens’ training camp in!!!
On the Left Side of the Road...08/18/2009 at 8:08 pm #1906774Brett’s Back Again!
Press announcement coming shortly.
Brett Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, told USA TODAY’s Skip Wood on Tuesday that Favre is headed for Minnesota and will sign with the Vikings.
“It’s a done deal,” Cook said.Favre is expected to practice with the Vikings today and start in Friday’s home preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

08/19/2009 at 2:06 am #1906777STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!
08/19/2009 at 2:23 am #1906778The only Brett I know is Lagrac. Who is this Brett Favre character?
08/19/2009 at 3:00 am #1906779He’s some dude who thinks he can play football at the age of 39. Right.
All he has to do is look at Johnny Unitas..Joe Namath..Joe Montana….great QB’s playing for good teams and finish their careers on a sad note with other teams.
He should have taken a lesson from John Elway and go out on top.

08/20/2009 at 1:58 am #1906781This is the new one that they came out with.
08/20/2009 at 2:30 pm #1906782Sometimes the opportunity to continue with something you love, overrides your ability to realize it’s time to let go.
Brett will always be a hero to me.
Thanks for 16 great years! And don’t get yourself killed out there old man!
08/20/2009 at 3:27 pm #1906783I think all of football knows what Brett has meant to the Packers and Packer fans are forever grateful that he played here. I also think the saga he created reflects a surprising level of immaturity…or something like it.
Part of this probably comes from living in the “bubble” that comes with being a sports superstar. Some succumb to it, others do not. Brett seems to have, spending his seasons in his reported private office and earning untold millions.
Unfortunately…or at least interestingly…he seems to have landed with an organization that is a perfect fit and which will keep feeding his massive ego. This is a very interesting story:

The hero-worship and adulation in here–right down to the “audible ‘oohs'” when he threw a pass–is enough to make one choke on his cheese curds…
