We have been caching since the end of 2004 and have enjoyed this sport from day #1. We have placed 70+ caches that are up and live. We try to keep our 24 hour or less on fixing our caches. This shows how much we enjoy and want others to enjoy this great sport. We have helped and have held 3 events. My favorite event that we held was our 2006 CITO event . We cleaned up 12 parks in one day! We do work with the Park Rec. and Forestry in the city of Waukesha. We have worked with AuntieNae on Geocaching classes , as marking and makeing the hides. I think the classes are a need for newbies STATE WIDE! Lets not only think about our city. We need to think STATE WI. Not only COUNTIES but the whole STATE!! WGA is the STATE! After visiting a couple other STATES events I see them BROKE UP into their part of the state!! Let US KEEP TOGETHER in this STATE!!! We should be ONE UNITED as a WISCONSIN of ALL GEOCACHERS! I want to hear from all!! LET’S work together to be ONE! If you don’t think the STATE is not one!! Look at your Geocoins!

    THANK YOU !!

I would like to propose a nice little CITO day event, state wide…. I would give out a TB to the person who pickes up the most trash and posts pics. online showing who piced up the most trash by lbs. What you think. Maybe try and buy a TB Coin for them to win……

      Hello gps_junky,

At the Waukesha CITO event in 2006, we had geocachers picking up cigarette butts in a small neighborhood park. We had another group picking up tires at a larger park. Rather than “rate” how much work people did, we celebrated the contributions of everyone by holding a drawing for 6 of the 2006 CITO geocoins. We had participants of different abilities and felt this was fair.

AuntieNae is totaly correct on last years event. I believe all that help should get the thanks for helping. A state wide thing would be great! I would like to see more CITO Events held in our state. We will hold our second this year and plan on giving out more CITO Geocoins if they come out in a drawing. I still think it’s fair as all teams work just as hard as they can. Maybe the WGA could help with the events in the future. Then it wouldn’t be out of pocket of the ones holding the event.
