I noted that the meeting schedule only goes to May as well…how ironic. I’m asking the parks guy…again.

On the Left Side of the Road...06/04/2007 at 1:04 am #1874151Do we know if the Fox River Trail and Mountain Bay Trail would be included? I know that the Brown County section of the Mountain Bay Trail is maintained by county personnel. I am not sure which agency handles the Fox River Trail.
06/04/2007 at 11:22 pm #1874152Who is planning to be at this meeting on Thursday? I’m going to try to be there, but it depends on how my leg is doing, and whether my wife can drive me there.
06/05/2007 at 4:00 am #1874153I am planning on being there.
I have emailed the committee chair with some questions but am not getting any response. I’d like the ability to address the committee and offer the WGA’s services and open a dialog, but I can’t do that if she won’t return my emails.
06/05/2007 at 4:03 am #1874154Do you want me to approach them from my Parks & Recreation side ..

Renee06/06/2007 at 5:02 pm #1874155Hey AuntieNae, is good on that part! she opened a couple doors for me when i was planning my CITO Event!
06/06/2007 at 11:18 pm #1874156I am going to try and make it to the meeting…….. We’ll see how work goes….
06/07/2007 at 1:43 am #1874157I just got off the phone with Supervisor Johnson, the Chair of the Ed&Rec Committee.
She indicated she would “suspend the rules in order to let any interested parties speak” at the meeting. I told her that there has been plenty of discussion here and I wasn’t sure how many folks may be in attendance, but she assured me that anyone who would like to speak, could. We talked for a while and I had the chance to answer some of her questions and discuss some of the things the WGA has done in other areas of the state. She indicated it would be very good to have me there to answer some of the questions the committee had the last time it had come up.
While we all would like to give the committee our two cents, I would also hate to leave a bad taste in their mouth by having everyone there berate the idea of fee based geocaching, and comparing them to the People’s Republic of Madison. I would encourage us to show up in numbers for support as we did in Manitowoc, but lets only have a few of us speak. This will ensure a positive, unified response to the committee from geocachers and the WGA.

Hey Jeff,
I’m planning on going, would you like to carpool together up there???Sure. That is if you don’t mind trying to help out some newbies for a little while afterwards.
Carron55 had asked for help in the help forums with downloading to thier Lowrance via the cable. They PM’d me as I’d offered assistance and we’re planning on meeting at their house after the meeting. I’m sure they won’t mind meeting another crazy geocacher.
PM me with when and where I should pick you up. I’d like to leave here around 4:30ish.
Any one else from the Port Cities coming along?
06/07/2007 at 9:30 pm #1874160My current boycott of Brown County Caches will continue until this matter is resolved. Prior to their anti-geocaching decision, I’ve personally patronized the Motel Sux in Green Bay three times in the past year and have put over $250 of my money into their economy.
