I’ve been geocaching for about a year now. My husband tolerates me finding caches when we are going places but for the most part doesn’t find it very interesting.

I need search buddy to make me feel less awkward when looking for caches in public. There are so many times when I end up leaving a cache because I feel weird looking by myself :/  The only cachers I have run into are middle aged. Are there any young adults that geocache in this area? 🙂

I’d ask what age bracket you would be looking for. Does “Middle Aged” mean 30, 40, 50? Oshkosh and Fondy has young whippersnappers that I am aware of. I know I cache with anyone and all age groups.

We are in Oshkosh and tend to do local caching on Sundays after church. Feel free to send us a message if you are looking to go somewhere in particular. We also have two caches in Algoma and a few in the Waukau Creek area.

I live down in FDL and I suppose would believe I fall in that Young Adult realm haha. Outside of my 1 cache a day my weekend caching can vary. I do a lot of solo caching myself (most of my finds that way) but my GF is getting more into caching so I know the feeling. I would always be game for meeting up and caching with others.

Green Bay here. I’d do the hour travel every once in awhile.

Pick a day of the month 🙂

Will you be attending the LCG Event this Saturday? It would be great to see you there!

    2016 Lonely Cache Game Annual Event/Meet & Greet</h2>

    Event Date: 03/12/2016

    N 44° 18.711 W 088° 27.014
    UTM: 16T E 384339 N 4907532

The 2016 Lonely Cache Game Event will be held March 12th from 11:30am-3 PM at the Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve near Appleton WI.

The Gordon Bubolz Nature Center has 775 acres and there are currently 7 geocaches on the property. In the surrounding Fox Cities communities, there are currently 22 Lonely Geocacahes and the potential for some new ones by the time of the event. The March-April list may be out by the time of the event!

Trails at the Preserve are open 11-4 on Saturday.

For anyone that has played the LCG, this is always a great way to reminisce on all the great adventures that happened in 2015. If you are curious about the game, come on out and get informed! Many of Wisconsin’s best caches are “Lonely”!

Join us for socializing and geo-talk about everything that makes WI geocaching special. We’ll talk about Cache Rescues and the Lonely Cache Game, which has the sole purpose of encouraging people to visit those WI geocaches that are not often visited and to keep our caches in tip top shape for all visitors.

There is no need to be a WGA member or LCG player. This event is open to all geocachers.

Stop by and enjoy the Meet and Greet and take the time to find out what the Lonely Cache Game is all about.

Lunch will be at Noon, pot luck style.

If your last name is A-H bring a side dish
    I-P bring a dessert
    Q-Z bring a beverage.

Please post in your will attend if you will be sticking around for lunch and what your bringing, just so we don’t wind up with too much of one thing and not enough of another. Also, the facility has a kitchen that we can use.

    Schedule:
    11:30 am socialize
    12:00 pm lunch
    12:30 pm ceremony
    12:45 pm more socializing/storytelling.
    3:00  pm event ends

Check back later for more details. Access to our event in the Auditorium will be free, however if you would like to access the trails, there is a $2 fee. Based on the date of this event the trails may be wet, so if your planning to find the caches out there, you may want to bring some water proof boots.

    ***Door Prizes***
We will offer a few door prizes at the event so make sure to stick around until the end.

Word is there will be 3 new caches pubished soon after the official end of the event.
