Recent thread was talking about people leaving these and it made me curious, does anyone really actually collect these? If you leave them, perhaps putting them into one of those small craft bags that sell pretty cheap would preserve your card better for the people who do like to keep them! 😀

I’ve seen some that people laminated, seem to hold up pretty well.

Our son Duck505 collects them!!! Some he even has multiples of.

I have a collection of all personal trade items. Cards, wooden nickels, etc.

Personal opinion only, but I dont like a lot of business cards littering up small containers, making it hard to get them closed, and getting mildewy and trashy. To me, the practice of leaving a business card in a cache is kind of yucky and makes the cache yuckier over time. I routinely throw them away.

If you have to leave something, leave a personalized pencil or a 2 dollar bill with your autograph. I can use those.

There is a difference between regular business cards that people leave, and the Geocaching business cards left by cachers. We often grab intersting geo-business cards, and enjoy seeing them. Agree that they should be in a baggie, and not keep the container from closing. But regular business cards, I see them as advertising. Make your own geo-“business” cards.

I actually make laminated cards that are dual sided with printing. Regular cards I can see soaking up moisture and getting yucky. I didn’t make any for 2011 and Wrongway Junebug kept bugging me until I did as she has a collection of my cards going back to 2006 (each year I change them slightly). It takes time to do and I put them in the cache for the cache owner to take but a lot of folks have seen my cards that are 2006 vintage and they are still in caches I found back then.
