Well geez – I’m not sure. If I knew what it was though I might be able to give you an idea. 😆 Does it look anything like a stumpfiddle?

…ahheemmmm, back to the topic at hand. I do get the point made by benny, attributes are easy to add, so why not use them? I’m not much of a cache hunter and not sure how much attention I ever gave attributes unless they show up on T4 or batter caches where any water sign is helpful, but I can understand how most cachers use them as valuable insight and fair warning markers. Maybe that’s why I like to play with them a little. With my urban hides, attributes are not all that critical anyway.
But then I’m not one to expect or even desire absolute cords with every possible seasonal scenario laid out for me at GZ either. If there isn’t much of a challenge presented, then what’s the point IMHO?
12/17/2010 at 3:55 pm #1940404Maybe some cache owners just don’t feel like using attributes. After all, they’re not required to publish a cache, just like writing a unique or meaningful log entry isn’t required either, as has been pointed out ad nauseam in these forums…
On the Left Side of the Road...12/17/2010 at 7:44 pm #1940405And I’m not required to go out and find them in the snow.
Simply put, I don’t cache in the winter.
12/17/2010 at 8:27 pm #1940406No, there is always the very valid choice to stay inside in the winter, but benny’s original plea was simply to encourage the use of attributes to help those of us who do enjoy winter caching, as it can be helpful in choosing where we might want to cache.
I still haven’t been successful in turning the attributes “on” so my Oregon will display them, though. I know there was a thread here about that and I did what it said, and…no go.
No surprise, considering it’s me. I still marvel that I’m active in a sport that relies so much on technology!
