I haven’t found this discussed here, maybe I’ve missed it.
Anyway, we very rarely print cache pages but once in a while do for certain types of field solves.
When doing the “Simple Print” (no log/5 log/10 log), sometimes all the cache “header” stuff doesn’t print on the page, even though it’s on the screen. This would be the GC number, cache name, and other useful stuff.
Anyone else run into this, and know why?
On the Left Side of the Road...05/03/2009 at 2:05 pm #1907075Yes I have run into this but I have no Idea why.
05/03/2009 at 2:15 pm #1907076We haven’t gone paperless yet, so we do print out some sheets when we go out. This problem started a few months ago after a groundspeak overhaul. Since then decrytped hints also revert back to encrypted when trying to print out simple forms.
05/03/2009 at 9:54 pm #1907077I always go to the Print Preview and look there first to see if it is all on the page or not. Sometimes I have to decrease the size to make what I want fit. The “fit to page” option does not always show everything (seems kinda odd it wouldn’t but…) I often reduce it to 70-80%

Yeah…I found that’s true too. Then I get out my magnifying glass to read it.

05/04/2009 at 1:01 am #1907079I used to print out a lot of cache pages. One on each side of the paper. For the most part, I’m paperless now. However, if I do need to print out a bunch of pages, I cut and paste. Depending on the needed info, I can put 8-12 caches on one page. I wish I would have done that back when I first started. I know ink isn’t exactly cheap.
05/06/2009 at 8:01 pm #1907080Printing out of GSAK gives you the same same info and you can save paper at the same time. Another nice feature of GSAK.
And, if needed you can order them (eg from Home coords) and have them print out by bearing and distance which is nice.
05/06/2009 at 8:07 pm #1907081Is there a way to print just one cache listing without filtering out the rest of the DB?
