Hello all. I have been looking for an answer to a question with out any luck, so I guess I’ll have to just ask.
This month I decided to start including the LCG and Cache Rescue as part of my caching trips. I recently did my first Cache Rescue, filed the report and now cannot locate that cache in the LCG. Did I do something wrong or out of order? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Schedlers, the order in which you file reports IS important and isn’t really specified anywhere that I’m aware of.
You need to submit the LCG report FIRST, then the cache rescue mission.
When you file a completed cache rescue mission report, it disappears from the LCG list. I learned that one the hard way a while back.
If you send a note to Team Deejay, who manages the list (click on the “Members List” link at the left and choose “send private message” from TD’s profile page), my recollection is that he will “undo” the cache rescue report which will allow you to file the LCG report, then redo the rescue report.
If I’m wrong on that I’m sure I’ll hear about it but that’s my recollection.
On the Left Side of the Road...03/05/2010 at 12:46 pm #1924285One more comment on cache rescues…
I like to take a picture of the “cache”, or what’s left of it, and post it on the last log. It is visual evidence of how “rotten” or pristine the cache was on the Rescue date.
Just my opinion!

03/06/2010 at 5:20 pm #1924287Just a quick clarification. The order is not really the issue. The key is that you need to post the LCG entry before the cache rescue is APPROVED by an administrator. Once the rescue is approved, it disappears from the LCG list. Sometimes that rescue will get approved in a just a few minutes, so posting the LCG entry first eliminates the issue.
