I was recently thinking about the number of outstanding “series of caches” that are in WI. Many of these would be unlikely to be an individual cache of the month, but as a series, are outstanding and unforgettable.

Some examples (in no specific order) would be- State of Mind by Socko; WI Waterfalls by The Lil Otter; and Where did I Park my Car? by ProStreet.

I would like to see a “Series of the Year” to be elected by our members.

We could never recognize these people enough. The bigger problem I have would be choosing only one!

People can nominate a series of caches on the cache of the month form.

Take the Cheesehead Trivia series for example…

I agree- and Cheesehead Trivia would undoubtedly be in the front running.

The difference I wish to point out is that unlike Cheesehead Trivia, which is much like a big multi-cache, many of the great series of caches do NOT end with a final cache.

These series may not make a good “cache of the month” as many people might only do part of the series, or take months or even longer to do an entire series.

Another example would be a series that has grown over the course of months or longer, like the “Where’s the Dam….Cache” series by Bobcatw98.

In many of these series, no one cache might have made cache of the month, but as a series, I feel a whole seperate contest is in order.
