This will be our families second event cache, but the first one with specific caches set out for the event. I have a few questions about this.

    1. When we arrive, will there be a computer to D/L all the WP’s from? If so, I should bring my GPS’r cable?

    2. After the event, how do we claim the caches? They wont all be listed individually right?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, there will be laptops for loading waypoints. Though there are usually cables for all units, it can’t hurt to bring it just in case. Usually anything that loads with a USB cable is covered. We’ll also have our e-trex cable and a Magellan 5 pin cable (Meridian, SporTrack, etc.).

As for logging, you may or may not want to log the temps. Some people do, and some don’t. It’s up to you. To log and receive a smiley for each cache, you have to go to the main cache page and log as “attended” for each hide. (Don’t forget to do it for the actual event though)

There will be tons of people around to help with anything else you may need that day. Have a great time! See you there…CB&MB

In addition to the ability to upload waypoints to most units via RS-232 or USB, we will also have paper booklets describing the temporary caches, already decrypted hints for those caches, a page describing nearby permanent caches, and uploads to your PDA with the same information.
