😳 The more caches you have found, the harder it is to find that %@#&*^ 1/1!

Something tells me Marc had a bad day. 😆

Not at all! Only one DNf, which is probably a missing. Just musing ….

    We think it’s missing too.

Honestly.. I think you are right about the more you find the harder it is to find a 1/1 LOL I have done that more than once. ya start looking too technically and miss the obvious.

Now where did I put those car keys???

I thought I was the only one having troubles … last night we went for a cache that gives parking coordinates along the edge of a fairly busy road … we couldn’t find the parking spot!

The coordinates just don’t seem like I’d want to park there. We drove by a couple times … then park there and decided as a family that we were not getting out of the car, it just wasn’t the spot described on the cache text. We were about to pull away, then the sheriff squad stops in the opposite direction. Great luck! … it’s our daughter’s teacher’s husband … hi Mr. M! He was just wondering if we had car trouble … we said no we just were a bit lost, but figured it out now … off we drove.

OK, being new here I still haven’t figured out all geo-jargon. What does 1/1 stand for? Please give an example for us dumb-dumbs.

1/1 = Terrain is 1 and Difficulty is 1…supposedly the easiest of caches. We, too, often think that the more we find, the harder it is to find the easy ones.

Have to agree here. After doing many caches over many years, it’s too easy to over-think the hide.
You start looking where it could be instead of where it probably (and obviously) is!

Thanks! After thinking about it for awhile, I figured out that’s what it probably stood for.

Personally, I think you’re all out of your mind. 😉
