As of 9PM Saturday 4/17, I have the registration page updated as to who has sent payment for campsites to me by either check, cash or PayPal. Two people have paid by PayPal and the names do no show up on the registation page. If you have sent payment, be sure you are registered. If you believe that you have paid and are not marked as paid, leave me an email at [email protected]. Please be sure to include WGA Campout in the subject so you don’t get filtered with all the spam!

04/21/2004 at 5:08 am #1754489All those signed up for the group camp: If the WGA does not receive your payment by April 30, you may lose your reservation. We are close to reaching our maximum number of 100 campers at the group sites. If you signed up, please pay now. We don’t want to turn people away only to have others not pay and then not show up.
04/21/2004 at 10:51 am #1754490Could this be because we paid (via PAYPAL) for two T-shirts?
Yes, that is it exactly. In my rush to update the PAID column, I may have checked off anyone who sent money. So, no, you will not be forced to camp out.

Waukesha04/21/2004 at 9:52 pm #1754492No problem Steve. I was just worried that you were saving space for us that could otherwise go to someone else.
Really looking forward to it. We’ll be stopping over to “Geocamp” quite often for libations and fellowship!

We have reached the maximum capacity for the camp sites (100) people.
There are many teams that haven’t paid yet. All teams camping on the group site were required to pre-pay by 4/30/04. If we don’t have your payment by that date, your reservation may be lost to a paying customer.
The WGA has already paid several hundred dollars to reserve these sites for the weekend. The nominal camping fee is required so we don’t lose money. At $8.00 a night/per team, we should break even.
Please take a look at the registration form to see if we received your payments yet. Check Here. If you have submitted your payment, but are not recorded as being “paid”, please contact us so there is no confusion.
Thank you

[email protected]04/27/2004 at 2:28 am #1754494Uuhh… Team GeoPink has been paid up since 3-29-04. Any chance of getting the list updated so we don’t look like the slackers.

I really don’t mean to imply that those who haven’t paid are slackers. We have had a few technical issues with the payment system. One of the main problems is we were accepting reservations before we had the mechanism for payment. Subsequently we had to send out emails once the “store” was functional.
Now that the group campsite is filled, we need to confirm all our data. If anyone else has paid but hasn’t been recorded as such, let us know. It does take a few days to manually cash checks and change the form to “paid”.
04/28/2004 at 12:58 am #1754496Also, there can be confusion with real names and team name. Some maiden names are used one time and not the other and team names are changed and one name is used to register and another used to pay. If there are any questions about payments, please email me direct at [email protected]

05/03/2004 at 2:38 am #1754498FYI… Just for grins I checked the ReserveAmerica website and there are still 38 campsites in the Family Camping area that are still available.
If you were not fortunate enough to get in with the first 100 geocachers at the group site, you might consider this alternative. You will have to reserve a site at http://www.reserveamerica.com
