OK, so who all will be camping this year?
03/07/2008 at 4:34 am #1885708I will be staying in the small, cozy, intimatnt tent with the dog. Somebody has to keep me warm!
03/07/2008 at 5:35 am #1885709Mister Greenthumb and Sunshine will be staying in the group camp area since we are tent campers. We haven’t camped at Governor Dodge since our kids were younger 25 years ago. Now the go camping with their kids. We got back into camping last year through geocaching. We checked out this park in September and had planned on coming here this year so the WGA Campout fits our plans great.
03/07/2008 at 1:07 pm #1885710We have to juggle a schedule, but we’ll be in a tent. Hey, maybe we should set up our 1750s camp! Except for me, hunting for caches in feminine period attire would be a real handicap. Four layers of full skirts? I don’t think so!
I can pretty much promise that Trekkin’ would be more than willing to show off and start campfires with flint and steel, however.
03/07/2008 at 1:13 pm #1885711Averith and wife will be there, possibly the 16 year old but not sure about that yet. We plan on staying in the group site again this year.

Flint and Steel? That’s to advanced for me. I use a magnifying glass. π―
PS, we’re tent campers too.

I’ll try and remember to bring my bow drill for some really old school fire starting. π π π π π
03/07/2008 at 10:22 pm #1885714I’m truly sorry the campout falls around our due date, as I was looking forward to showing off my tried-and-true gasoline and sparklers method π― . Have fun and maybe the third Honeybunny will attend with us next year.
03/08/2008 at 2:41 am #1885715WE will We will! Looking forward to it!!

03/08/2008 at 2:37 pm #1885717I’m looking forward to coming…we have lots of tents and are buying a pop-up this spring…we just don’t have a car that can pull it yet π So chances are we will be showing up with a tent.

Maybe you could have a special popup camper designed that looked like a natural feature and turn it into a traveling earthcache.
03/08/2008 at 6:01 pm #1885719Also a big CONGRATS to Seth and Marie! Cannot wait to meet the new Honeybunny!! Will miss you at the campout!
03/08/2008 at 8:12 pm #1885720We’ll be Trudy Camping… ahhh a big ole tub full of hot water after a hard day caching…
TE03/10/2008 at 2:09 pm #1885721Trying to convince the wife… (we’ll see about that one)
I am hoping that atleast I and one other family member (my son) will make the trek and be camping.
The fact that it’s early May is what’s keeping the family a bit skeptical. With two younger girl’s, they see camping as swimming… lot’s of swimming and the “girls” do not like geocaching (all 3 of them..)
This is the weekend before my Birthday so I have that to juggle as well.
Is there a process for reserving a spot or anything?
