Looks like its time for me to dust off the tent I haven’t used since Lake Wissota.

The Don-Q Inn is a great place! I have stayed there several times. It is quite interesting. My personal favorite is the cave room. I do know that there is a Super 8 nearby as well.
Anyone considering the”Cave Room” may want to think twice. There is a rumor going around that Lostby7 is turning the”cave” into an Earthcache for release on the weekend of the Campout. With his new Earthcache game just out with a space for a “cave” find you may have a lot of visitors.
03/12/2008 at 2:14 pm #1885639So what would be the quantifiable measurement? How many bodies fit into the hot tub or the volumetric measurement of the cheese vat? Hmmmm, which has more mass: Cheddar, colby, swiss or Velvetta? Hmmmm? π Admission would help offset the cost of the room.

You can easily fit 4 people into the copper cheese vat.
03/13/2008 at 2:39 am #1885641Was that a 70’s style fit? π

I can say it is slippery and it is hard to keep your head above water.

So it’s a lot like kayaking for you then Mathman?… π―
03/13/2008 at 1:44 pm #1885644Sorry – I was just having this 70’s style visual – 23 1/2 people crammed everywhich way into a VW bug. Then wondered, on the same Packing premise, how many bodies could you fit into that cheeze vat? Nothing less than family friendly, of course. Clothing is optional, unless it’s a leisure suit, then it can go back to the land fill.

03/16/2008 at 3:18 pm #1885646What campground is the WGA event in?
There seems to be two different campgrounds in that park.
03/16/2008 at 6:56 pm #1885647Ironically, my wife and I were just discussing this….we just got a new tent for us and our 3 yr old. She reminded me of that first year @ gov dodge when it dropped below freezing. First time she’d ever been camping. π
We’re looking forward to it this year!
03/17/2008 at 10:39 pm #1885648Uncanny how those are the only 2 days that I have to work from May 10th to May 26th! π‘

β ANYONE….
03/18/2008 at 3:52 pm #1885650Twin Valley and Cox Hollow are Family campgrounds. The group camp area is Hickory Ridge and is in the northern most part of the park. I’m not aware of any other group area so that is most likely the main gathering area.

Correct, the official WGA group camp will be the adjoining sites C & D in the Hickory Ridge area.
If you are bringing a trailer, you probably want to get a spot in the Twin Valley campground because it is the only one with electrical hookups.
