If you are already registered for the campout, you should have received an update message via email this afternoon. (And you may have received multiple due to a technical glitch… sorry!) If you are camping in the group sites and did not receive this email, contact me (jvechinski) because it contains important reservation information.
The cache page and the event page on the WGA website have been updated with the final details / schedule regarding all the great activities we have planned for next weekend. Note that the Saturday night caching will start from the Enee Point Shelter, not the group campsites as was previously indicated. We are also having the pancake breakfast Sunday morning at a different picnic shelter (Twin Valley Beach) than we are using Saturday.
If you are not yet signed up, why not consider attending? Governor Dodge is a gorgeous state park, and there will be 10 permanent and 55 temporary geocaches available within its boundaries for you to hunt. We also have activities for those who don’t want to geocache all day like geocacher bingo and a “pin the tail on the waypoint” game. And don’t forget the always interesting and sometime scary night geocaching we offer at dusk.
Did I mention you could win FREE GAS TO AND FROM THE CAMPOUT? One lucky person will walk away with this grand prize, so you can’t use high gas prices as an excuse not to attend!
We will be accepting registrations for the event through Thursday (5/15) afternoon. If you don’t register we will not have nametags for you and cannot guarantee we will have printed materials for you but will try our best to accommodate you.

Not sure that the logic of your statement is correct, but we get what you mean. 😀
05/12/2008 at 2:27 pm #1889136That’s because you quoted the wrong part of the sentence….

That is the golden nugget you need to grab onto to get excited about it! FREE GAS!! SWEET!! reading the rest of it just brings you back down, like when they post the odds of winning at the end of those AWESOME powerball commercials…
But back on topic, thanks for all the info. Looks like it took some work to get all of it in there, without a lot of extranious junk. Good Work!
05/13/2008 at 2:18 pm #1889137(I think Ken was joking that if you “walk away” with a free gas card, you probably don’t need it. I hope to “drive away” with the $100 card, which will give me 1/2 a tank in my Suburban 🙁 )
05/13/2008 at 3:44 pm #1889138DOH! look at me, the dullard that didn’t get the joke! 😳
05/14/2008 at 1:04 am #1889139😀 Actually what I meant was just because one person will win gas money, that doesn’t take away the excuse of high gas prices for everyone. Nevermind. My joke(observation) wasn’t that good anyway.
