I have really been looking forward to this campout but now I may have to cancel. My husband’s employer is going through some major changes and suddenly NEEDS him to be out of town that weekend. I’m not so sure I want to take kids camping by myself. I’m still working through our plans. I had ordered a bunch of stuff. If I don’t end up going is it too late to get a refund? I’m still considering going, though. I will hopefully figure it out soon. 🙁

That would be the old stinkeroo!

If you do decide to make it, I’d be glad to help with setting up a tent, hauling gear, etc. to make things easier for you. I’m sure I’m not the only one either! If you don’t feel like you would enjoy yourself with the extra hassle, then don’t worry about it, but just wanted to offer the help if it eases your mind!

Also, If you decide you need to cancel, I’d be glad to pick up your shirts or whatever and make sure they get to you. I have done this in years past for some other folks, and have no problem continuing my fine tradition of “Swag Mule.”

      Becca ..
You live SOO far from me .. I am thinking we could arrange a “all the way” down a few blocks trip to drop things off to you ..

I will look at what you ordered and we can email.

Thank you both. 🙂 And yes, Renee, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too inconvenient to make some sort of swap. Hopefully in the next day or two I will figure out our plans for the weekend and let you know if I need help. It might be good for my kids to learn how to do things like set up the tent and all that. Fortunately they are old enough it shouldn’t be too hard.

You gotta come Bec, you are almost 10% of the night cache entry’s. lol

There will be enough of a camp site support group to give you any assistance you could ever need.

Well, when you put it like that I guess I HAVE to come. 😆 Actually, due to some crazy family stuff we had to deal with this past week, my husband’s plans are up in the air. I’ve decided I’m going with or without him (hopefully with) so I will be there. Unfortunately, my night cache idea tanked so I need to come up with something else. It didn’t glow! I researched and everything! Nothing like waiting til the last minute, right? 🙄

      1) Go to the Dollar Store.
      2) Buy a handful of glowsticks.
      3) Now it glows!

OK, ya’ll are going to think I’m just so fickle. It turns out I’m going to have to cancel after all. My daughter has been sick this week but seemed to have gotten over it in the last two days. Now today her fever is back and pretty high again. 🙁 My husband offered to stay with her but she says she needs her mom so we’re going to have to skip this weekend. I’m pretty disappointed because I was very much looking forward to this, it sounds like a fun event! She’s pretty sad too, she started crying when I told her we couldn’t go camping when she was too weak to walk to the kitchen. My boys are pretty bummed too but what can you do?

If there is anyone from the Milwaukee area (I live in Waukesha) who is going and hasn’t left yet I could drive and meet you somewhere to send up my night cache? Also, I have a cribbage board I was going to donate to Sweetlife’s auction.
