02/01/2006 at 5:19 am #1761791This is fun!!
Tupperware (less scary)
Traditional (The logs in the log book are usually better)
Location
Garmin (yes I have tried both)
Plucker (haven’t tried cachemate yet)
Lavern (milk & Pepsi — mmmmm!)
Lenny (Michael McKean is great! He was in 2 of my favorite movies: This Is Spinal Tap & Best In Show)
DNF (everytime!)
Multi (Just because I can use the exercise)
Virtuals (there’s some great information out there! Love to learn about history or see interesting things)
Not log event temps (Just my personal choice — I don’t care if others log temps.)
Why Not! (One should always question authority, reality, what-have-you….I’m sure you meant why not log temps — see above for that answer. I’m just being silly here!)
It’s NOT all about the numbers — it’s about the experience you gained and the adventure you had!Bec

Traditional — The kids like these best!
Location AND Hide — I want my cake and eat it too!
Garmin — My current equipment.
Plucker — It’s what I know.
Shirley — She’s somewhat more attractive.
Squiggy — Nice attitude.
DNF — Honest guy here!
Multi — More bang for your buck.
Virtuals — Haven’t done these much though..
No Temp logs — I’ve seen the light…
Why not — Seems more daring.
Not even close to about the numbers!!How’s that?

02/02/2006 at 2:26 am #1761794Ammo Box – durable, strong, long lasting, blends in well so you don’t know its there and could be mistaken for something its not.
Traditional – there’s something to be said about staying with your roots.
Location and the hide if both are done correctly. I prefer the views over the hide.
Duh! GARMIN!!
Cachemate or Plucker – haven’t used either so no comment. GSAK rocks though!
Laverne or Shirley? Never watched the show….
Lenny or Squiggy – same as above
Not – DNFs to me means accepting failure. I do not accept failure.
Single or multi – Both, as long as I’m going somewhere neat.
Virtuals – always willing to learn more!
NOT log event temps – events are not about the caches..they’re about the people. One event, one smily.
Why Not? (After all, it’s only illegal if you get caught). I’ve always questioned authority. I don’t believe in blind acceptance.
Numbers – used to be all the rage and it caused me to lose sight of the reason I got into geocaching – that euphoric feeling of just finding a cache and being at a location that was ‘awe’ worthy.

Traditional – Micros are fun, but it gets more interesting when larger items find creative hiding spots.Location is awesome. I love seeing new and unusual things, but when the locations are far and few between, a great hide can make up for it.
Magellan – Ok… odd person out!! Always have been a little odd anyway LOL Magellan only because that’s what I started with and still use. Reviewing the Lowrance (though not an option here) I saw some wonderful features. Would like to own one of each someday!!
Cachemate or Plucker – don’t use either at this time (do everything the HARD way yet), but have been introduced to GSAK and think I will REALLY like!
Lavern – She’s outgoing, daring adventurous and always willing to try new stuff. She’s not afraid to fail, or to be picked on. When she falls she gets right back on the old proverbial horse.
Squiggy – He makes me smile. He is a lot like Lavern in that he tries and fails and gets right back up again. He tries to be a leader and is not very often successful, but that doesn’t stop him.
DNF – If I have given a good search and tried everywhere, coming up empty handed… sure…give it a DNF. If I look for just a minute or so, short on time, then I at least give it a second try. Then, if still no find, I list the DNF. It’s a great tool for the cache owner. If no one bothers to ever put down a DNF, it can look as if no one has been visiting the cache and its owner might then pull, what can be an excellent hide.
Single – I really enjoy a good single with a nice walk. P&H’s are fun when I’m out driving around and want a quick cache. Multi’s are fun too, but I don’t do a lot of them. Love one that gives me a great mental and physical workout (Walla-hi comes to mind)
Virtuals – SURE!!! If its something interesting, educational or unusual. Gotta enjoy `em to some degree, especially going to a place like Washington DC. In town, it’s ALL they have!!
Log event temps or not – I personally log the finds, but it’s for my personal count. I highly respect the decision of the cacher who chooses not to log them. A cacher has to do what they need to do, to accomplish their goals. It should NOT be the decision of and one person or group, to totally eliminate the opportunity of CHOICE!!
Why Not – If it’s not illegal, immoral, and injurious or life threatening…….WHY NOT!!!
Is it about the numbers? This goes along with the freedom to log or not log event temps. It all depends on the individual cachers goals. I enjoy watching my numbers go up, up, up, though I highly respect a cacher or team, such as Team HunnyBunnies, for choosing NOT to log temps!!
