I have posed this question before in a different way and I thank Beccaday for starting this. Some think it’s ridiculous and won’t answer, but I think it’s important. If you can’t figure out why the topic is posed as such, we can go to Psychology 101. Class starts at noon on 02-13-2021.

What snack do you define with and how does it apply to the WGA BOD and why? Sweet, Salty, Take 5, or Sour?

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I’ll be that salty snack 🙂

Most things we consume need at least a little saltiness or what would they be? Blah! Consider me that large pail of salted movie theatre popcorn.

How does this apply to the BOD? Well, the BOD needs a little spiciness in order for change to occur.

Hopefully, this answer your fun question sufficiently 🙂

I’m not going to lie, I read Take 5 and zoned everything out because I got super excited and decided that it was going to be by answer no matter what!

A Take 5 is a combination of well, five different delicious things.  Each individual element, like the board members, work together to create something wonderful! Each element of a Take 5 brings something different to the treat: saltiness, sweetness, texture.  These are all of the skills, and the personalities, the board members bring to the table. That milk chocolate keeps everything held together, like the business the board conducts.  Not every Take 5 is of a uniform shape much like every board member has different skills that will change the overall shape of the candy.  Does it still work and is it still tasty? Absolutely!  A Take 5 allows for the individual elements to sing harmoniously together (too bad it wasn’t a Take 9 because then this metaphor would be PERFECT!!)!!

You’ve got me on the metaphor train and it’s going to be hard to get me to leave! Now I’ll have Take 5 on my mind all day!

True confessions:   I’ve never had a Take 5.  I hope Bethany is going to introduce me sometime.   I think I’ll go sweet… Marie made me some caramels for Christmas that may have been the best caramels ever.   She’s sweet like that.   I also like coconut.  I hope no one is super offended by that.  🙂

Oh my – but this question is the best.  Wow!  First of all, because I want to be transparent, I must confess I had no idea what a Take 5 was.  If Bethany is elected, this will be her first task – to make sure the entire membership knows what a Take 5 is.

Do I go with the snack I like?  Nope…that was not the question….

I think I would be a chip. I feel that chips have all kinds of different flavors to them. Deep River Sweet Maui Onion being the best – they are sweet, but cracked black pepper are good also – and a completely different taste. Sometimes chips are salty, sometimes sweet; sometimes even sour (those vinegar ones).  I feel like I have a lot of different facets to who I am and can always find a way to connect with someone.

In terms of how this applies to the board, as we discussed in a previous question – the board will be made up of different personalities and I am the kind of person who can be easily adapt to different personality types.  However, like a chip, I am very firm in what I stand for also and do not like to compromise my moral values.

I am now hungry…..snacks at the first BOD meeting if I am elected.  Caramels for everyone!

I would have to say that I am definitely a Take 5.  I am sweet most of the time, listening to others and trying to understand their viewpoint.  But when a situation requires it, I can definitely be salty, standing up for the underdog or the cause.  I think that’s the best part of a Take 5:  it doesn’t need to be one layer of flavor, it has all these different goodnesses blended into one.  Just like the BOD brings together different personalities and perspectives and backgrounds to make decisions in the best interests of geocaching in Wisconsin.

As I have dietary restrictions, I have to ask the contents of what I am eating…that being said I do prefer sweets.

It never hurts to ask questions to clarify anything. Especially when you don’t understand or maybe even don’t agree. The best thing you can do is keep an open mind, express your opinion and still be “man” enough to move on and support whatever the decision is. And in my case, hope it doesn’t give you an allergic reaction. XD

Can I reply Licorice?  While it is okay to keep things the same, why not change it up a bit?
