Are you a sturdy oak? A weeping willow? A prickly pine? Or maybe an exotic palm? Or something else entirely?

01/19/2016 at 4:14 pm #2046254I’d like to think of myself as a maple, colorful and nutty at times 😉
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

01/19/2016 at 9:24 pm #2046274Green is my favorite color, so I favor being a Balsam Fir. I and the Balsam Fir live “Up North”. In winter the Balsam Fir are ‘capped’ with snow and I know my hair color would match the cap of snow on the balsam!
I hope my self – my tree can be bendable under a load, shake it off, and keep on standing strong. My self – my tree can also grow among others. A canopy and/or shadow of leaves does not deter the growth. My self – my tree are evergreen – color lasting no matter the season or reason.
I love the hike in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest to cut your own Christmas Tree which of course is the Balsam Fir – the most fragrant of trees and wreaths. The Balsam Fir – my spirit tree.

01/20/2016 at 5:21 pm #2046295I’d have to say a sturdy oak or a maple. Love the shade offered by them in the summer and the colors in the fall.
01/20/2016 at 10:44 pm #2046308Favorite type of tree would be a Red Maple. We have one in our yard that changes to a brilliant red in the fall. Sadly, a large portion of it broke off in a windstorm a couple years ago.
What kind of tree would I be? Maybe an apple tree or cherry tree. Something that can serve many purposes as I take on many different job types.
