Candidates' Corner Guidelines

“Candidates Corner 2015″ is a forum intended to provide information about the candidates running for the Board of Directors in 2015, and is also a place for discussion and debate about the candidates’ position on various issues facing the WGA. This forum will be retired after the 2015 election.

All candidates are encouraged to create a single new topic with information about themselves and what they would plan to do/change if elected to the Board. Use your real name and/or geocaching handle as the topic subject (i.e. for me it would be “Brian Kling – Team Black-Cat”). Questions from the membership to specific candidates should be posted in the topic created by the candidate the question is being directed to.

If a member has some general questions they’d like to ask all candidates, they should create a new topic. Candidates can post their responses to these questions either in the topic in which the questions were asked or in their own topic as they see fit.

All off-topic posts will be deleted. This forum should only contain opinions from the candidates, not from the membership at large. Posting of endorsements for specific candidates, multiple spam posts from candidates (i.e. Vote for Pedro type campaigning), personal attacks, and other inappropriate material, as determined by the current Board, will be removed.

While it is still early in the nomination process, there are several nominees who have accepted and have received seconds putting them on the official ballot.

It is never too early for those candidates to begin their who’s who forum post. As TBC mentions in the following —>

The nomination period is winding down and voting will begin soon. A couple more nominations are out there and either awaiting seconds or commitment to serve. Stay tuned to get all the candidates responses to your questions prior to voting.

There are no prizes for early voting so be sure to make an informed choice prior to making your decisions. We have a great ballot going with lots of knowledgeable folks running for the four available positions.

Still lots of time to get your votes in for the Board of Directors. We’ve had a pretty good turnout thusfar but still well below last years voting totals.

If you are still on the fence, there is still time to post a question to the candidates which may tip you one way or the other.
