For any paddlers who may be interested, the big canoe exposition “Canoecopia” begins today in Madison and runs through the weekend. http://www.canoecopia.com
I hope to get over there Saturday. Some of us from the http://www.paddling.net message forums are planning a canoe trip on the Wisconsin River this summer and we’re going to discuss that event Saturday evening. If you’re into canoeing or kayaking, check it out!

Hey, I wouldn’t miss the ‘copia for anything. I’ll probably see you there Saturday!

    How was the exhibition?

And are you going to be in any races/competitions this year like last that we can come cheer you on?

The expo was great, as usual, but quite crowded mid-day Saturday. The seminars are always good, especially those presented by Cliff Jacobson. He has great practical advice for all aspects of canoeing, including canoe camping meals.

Regarding races, well, I’ve got to find a new racing partner if I want to race again this year.

Beggymike, did you go to Caneocopia? We probably should have arranged a time and place to meet, since we don’t know each other and I wouldn’t be able to spot you in the crowd.
