Canoecopia

[Grandma & Grandpa]

Hi – Grandson Sean 71 and I will be coming to Canoecopia Friday evening, March 11, and plan to be there all day Sat. I know there are a few other GeoCachers planning to be there also. I’d like to be able to meet some of the folks I know from online discussions and cache logs – face to face.

How about if we disignate 11:00 am Sat in the food court as a meeting site? We can pin down a table, swap a few yarns, etc. As I recall, the food court is north of the expo hall, but in the same complex.

I plan to be there on Saturday. The Wilderness Medicine seminar is at 10:30, so 11:00 probably won’t work for me. I’ll be wandering through the exibitor booths on & off throughout the day. Keep you eye open for a guy with geocaching-related shirt and a bad haircut.

I enjoy going to Caneocopia nearly every year, but we wont’ be able to be there this year. Hope y’all have fun!

Hi,
Just found out I’m going to Canoecopia tomorrow (if you check this in time). Not sure if I’ll be able to check in at 11am. ‘Never been to one of these things. We won’t be getting there ’til 10:30 or so. I’ll either be wearing a DePere Basketball Tshirt or an orange Life is Good Sweatshirt…or a BWCA grey sweatshirt (there’s where a million others might too.) I’m easy to miss as I stand a little over 5 foot–short brown braids. Will be hanging out with two guys that hopefully look older than I am.

Better late than never, I guess.

Canoecopia was much more crowded than I remember it being last year. I sat in on several great seminars. Now it’s time to plan some paddling.

Sorry BnB about the Cardinals. If it’s any consolation (which it probably isn’t), I had to choose between DePere on Saturday night and my alma mater, Waukesha South.

Canoeocopia was pretty neat. Now we need to decide on a kayaking trip in the Apostle Islands or to return to BWCA. Hmmm…

I agreee with Cathunter–Snow, snow, ice, go AWAY!

I hear that! I’m trying to figure out how I can swing the Apostle Island Kayak Symposium, the WGA Campout, the Door County Kayak Symposium, and a few days paddle camping the Flambeau all in the schedule.

Maybe I should become a teacher so I can have my summers off work.
