After waiting for such a long time, and with little blaring of trumpets or dropping of ticket tape, two Wisconsin Heros have finally bettered the Carpe’ Cache’!

Brian of Team Grousetales and Ken of Team Ken & Robin climbed into a teenie-weenie canoe and set out against surrounding tornadoes and triumphed over a cache that has been teasing and heckling area cachers since time immortal: “You’ll never get me!” was its cry.

So, while our intrepid cachers may be too modest to post their exploits, I felt I needed to spread word of their valliant work.

Well done good cachers! Well done!

Thanks for the pat on the back CC.

While arranging a meeting place to exchange some items, Ken had the idea of hitting this cache.

So, with a weather alert radio in one hand, gps in the other hand, and a carbon graphite kevlar paddle in the other hand (wait, that makes three hands), we forged on to conquor this virgin.

There were large whitecaps on the river as the strong southern winds blew against the current. But not even the the raging currents, nor the hurricane force winds could prevent this kevlar propelled racing skiff from striking gold. The smell of blood was in the air! (or was it the rotting dead goose on the shore?)

It was unfortunate that the container was soaked. Those PVC threaded tubes are not water tight. I guess you always need to put the threaded side down.

I didn’t really expect anyone to take notice of our triumph. Thanks for the kudos.

That was just Brian’s trick photography. It was actually a full-size 17.5-footer.

Too modest! You KNOW that’s not true!
