10/27/2004 at 5:16 pm #1747858You made a excellent decision!! We did the same thing when we 1st moved here to Wisconsin about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Yea we had the cell phone plus the regular phone. So as I payed these bills I realized that we hardly never went over our monthly minutes on 2 cell phones so we decided to junk the house phone, combined 2 cell phones to 1 package and also added the cable internet to our cable bill.. Yea your cable bill goes up allitle, but we still saved money by going this way. We have cell through US cellular and have free incomming calls, plus 1000 anytime minutes and that works well for us. May not for the very chatty people, but thank god my wife isnt a chatter.. Well anyways Good choice in my book!
Hope to see you all again at one of the events!

“Be safe and Keep on Searchin”10/27/2004 at 5:18 pm #1747859I’m really thinking about it. Would have to bite the bullet and actually change my internet service. I’m still using dial-up, but only because it’s so convenient (the business is here in town). Otherwise, I never use my landline. It’s pretty much always connected to the internet. So one of these days…

10/27/2004 at 5:37 pm #1747860I would love to get rid of the two land lines I have coming into the house (one for personal, one for business). My two teenagers and I each have our own cell phones and I have Road Runner cable connection for internet service. The problem is that I get poor cell phone reception here at the house. I live several miles outside of town in a fringe area for my cellular service. I have to step outside to take or make a cellular call, and even then it may drop. For now, I stay hard-wired.

I do understand that. Until May, I didn’t have the luxury of going totally wireless. I had Sprint and when I got off I-90 to go to my exit, I was promptly “removed” from the network. I even lived less than a mile from the highway but just not enough signal! After my contract ended, I went with ATT who gives me 4 bars!
