Evening everyone.
Since we adopted our first cache and I’m not really happy with the current container. I’m wondering if its acceptable to change the cache container size to a Film Type canister till spring? Then go back to a Traditional size container in spring when i can find a better spot for the cache?
Can someone advise me?
Thanks
Collin
Team Margaritaville02/14/2007 at 2:39 am #1770232I’ve changed container sizes on several caches; it happens for various reasons and is not a problem just be sure to also change it on the cache page.
02/14/2007 at 3:39 am #1770233I know I have changed caches sizes in the adopted ones I have. Sometimes you just find that another size would suit the area better. I often times make a note on the cache page that I have decided to do so. I have also changed the location, if there were muggle issues. What I did too, is rename the cache & redate placement, which forces it to come up as a NEW cache.
Examples of mine: Happy Medium is now Happy Medium-Revisited with a new location and a welcome to those who have found it previously to refind and relog.
Bucky’s Hideaway is now Extreme Makeover – Home Edition: Bucky’s Hideaway with a new local and container and the same welcome to refind and relog.
I always give credit for the original cache hide to the original cacher too. To me, I think it makes a statement that you have opted to adopt and help out fellow cachers!!
Hope this helps!!

Team MargaritavilleThere is no problem with doing that. Another option is to disable it until you can find a better spot. I’m currently in that situation with a cache I adopted as well. You are the one who can best decide if a 35mm does it justice in the interim or not.
