I don’t know how he does it. I had today off, and decided just for the heck of it to go look for Lonely Caches in a dash across the state. I managed to find 5, plus two other caches. One would have required me to walk on water and it wasn’t frozen. One other one, it was getting too late and I wanted to get back to the interstate before it got too dark and the storm hit. I had to pass on SO many other caches to meet my goals, and I didn’t even meet them all! I HAD to go after Team LightningBugs double points “Crane Spotting,” that had my name on it, so what the heck? What else can I find along the way?

I had fun, but I don’t know that I could cache like this on a regular basis. Ralph, you’re more dedicated than I am!

Yeah, going after the Lonely Caches is a lot of work, but Seldom Seen is the points leader now, after making a long trip to Madison for a handful of caches. I really enjoy the game, and visiting the Lonely Caches, but it does get to be a bit of a drive for just a few caches.

Crane Spotting is a great cache! I’m glad you chose it!

Ralph, we have no delusions that we can ever catch seldom|seen or sagasu, but it was fun to grab these today. It made going all that distance for Crane Spotting worthwhile. Crane Spotting was worth it in and of itself, actually, as were the others I did today.

We haven’t even started revisits of any nearby Lonely Caches, suppose we could do that, too. Do you think those guys can keep this up month after month? I’m sure marc is loving all the maintenance Dave is doing for him!

I think Marc put Deejay up to this in the first place. Look at all those cache replacements for Marc… talk about a great opportunity to have a couple of area cachers who know where most of your insane hides are go out and do maintenance on them all!

I suppose I have to parse my words a bit, Sagasu did do maintenance on one of mine as well. Although I do have to say that Dave is having to work harder to keep up…. 🙂

For all of the observers out there, Dave and I started out thinkin it would be kind of fun to see how well we could do initially and just wanted to get on the board. That’s when Zuma was way out ahead. Soon enough we were right up there and it became a bit of a competition between us. 🙂

You can see where it is going now. Who knows where it will be by months end with all those lonely caches out there still…

We had about one day of excitement before you two guys really went for broke! I would guess that Dave’s success in revisiting all of marc’s puzzles speaks to the wisdom of saving your puzzle solutions. We haven’t really cached any of those puzzles yet, but we’ve done a mess of them in the Rochester MN area, and I’d solve, find and toss. I don’t get those ones I see up your way with photos and nothing else. I always thought I was one of those gestalt type thinkers, but I dunno!
