and I don’t have a milestone cache chosen yet.
Hoping to score the .5K in West Bend on Friday.
Any caches that should be considered for the big 500???Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
03/12/2008 at 12:59 am #1886090😕 Well, you could always be lame and try my PU, What a Stinker. It is winter friendly, but not USER friendly. Just throw a rock at it and I will consider that a log signature, I don’t care… 😈 Congrats – you won’t have any trouble finding caches in West Bend! 😉

That’s a great suggestion as I think Milestones are lame and it would be perfect fit with that sucky, absolutely vile and completely worthless cache.
03/12/2008 at 1:10 am #1886092I once thought about doing a useless dead-end micro as a milestone and Dave insisted that I asbsolutely do not because a milestone should be memorable. I would do the Lame stinkin one as my milestone but that one holds a special sentimental value for me because I have already logged it…. 🙄
03/12/2008 at 1:24 am #1886093Of all the caches I did in the West Bend area these are the 2 that I seem to remember the most.
GCNG6C- But I see you just did that one.
GCPG4H- I just liked the spot.03/12/2008 at 1:32 am #1886094@Team Hemisphere Dancer wrote:

03/12/2008 at 2:03 pm #1886095We have a hard time pre setting a milestone cache… the one time we tried with Trekkin’ and Birdin’ and still messed up the count. WE celebrated a cache or two early. Seems like if we plan to get to a number we get more DNF’s then thought or whatever… so we pretty much let the caches fall as the may. Fun to watch others put much time into picking special ones.
TE03/12/2008 at 3:10 pm #1886096There is a Milestone 500 series put out by Russell in the Kewaskum/West Bend area also which celebrated his 500. Probably the best out of the bunch is the Milestone 500 – don’t do this one GCRGKR but it would probably be difficult right now with too much snow. There is this one, which is also a Milestone 500 cache and would probably be doable with snow and was recently found GCRGPY – I remember it and it is a cute hide. 😀

.
yeah, it figures. Sagasu was the one who recently found it and he is who I will be caching with Friday. Well if I do choose this one, I should be able to find it, unless Sagasu conceals it on me. 🙂

03/12/2008 at 4:28 pm #1886098Why don’t you just put that Semantic Search to rest and do that one? LOL
Congrats on a milestone, I remember when we first met you, you were on your way to do Saddle Mound for #200 (a most excellent choice, too!)03/12/2008 at 6:09 pm #1886099Sagasu has been pretty tight lipped on the SSSS cache. Even being related hasn’t given me any advantages on this thorn.
(oh, Saddle Mound is a lonely cache now too. Might be worth the trip)

03/14/2008 at 12:04 am #1886100Well….since you asked!!!
How about my one and only cache that won Cache Of the Month?
GCND98
It will not be a BIG disappointment (smiles). It’s easier to find in the winter anyways (bigger smile)….Happy Hunting and congratulations! Tami

Yes, this would be a good cache for a milestone. I remember hunting it with Miata.
03/14/2008 at 2:49 am #1886102Do you keep track of your own number of caches when approaching a milestone? We have found that even though we log our caches in the order we find them, and the dates accumulate in reverse order (most recent first), within a given date the finds are listed in logging order instead of reverse.
Thus, the first cache we ever found shows up as second because we found two that day. So if you made a milestone cache your last of the day and posted it last, it wouldn’t show up as that number??????
So, do you keep track of your own number of caches when approaching a milestone? Or should you just log for the day in reverse order of the find?
(It’s easy keeping track of 59 finds… 😐 )
03/14/2008 at 1:37 pm #1886103If I am getting close, say I have 8 more to do. I count them up and then when I get to for instance my 499th, the next one is the one that I pick that is “special.” Just log it that way too. Super Sized is a very good cache for a milestone. Even due to it’s micro size, you should not have a problem now that some of the snow has melted.
