is there a place to either buy or make coins cheap? i like leaving good things for cachers and i know people love these kinds of things so i am looking how to get good coins
The simple answer is no. 😀 Minting unique coins is expensive. I’m not sure it can be done for under $1000 and that is conservative. There are however, coins you can get in on, to have your caching name on a coin. Geo-Jellies and Geo-Nerds come to mind, and I know there are a few more.
Pathtags on the other hand, are more affordable.
If you are just looking for random pre-made coins that have absolutely nothing to do with you but look cool, you can purchase them from a number of coin vendors. I’ve used http://www.geocoinstore.com as well as http://www.geoswag.com. Both sites offer tons of coins for reasonable prices, usually between $6 and $10. The $6 ones are the micro coins, somewhere between a quarter and nickel in size.
I dont know how helpful this is but Space Coast Geocachers have a bunch for less then 15.00 spacecoastgeocachers.com
You could allways get pathtags. Check out http://www.pathtags.com
