Chest freezer – free to a good home

I have an old chest freezer in my basement that I’m getting rid of. It works great. It was here when I moved in, so I’m not sure the age. I would guess 30 years old? A relative gave me a newer freezer, so I’ve decided to release the old one. Specifics available upon request. It’s free to a good home providing you pick it up. I’ll take care of getting it out of the basement (I hope).

If no one wants it, I’ll paint it green and fill it with trinkets. It will be a “cool” cache

If you can’t unload it and the city’s going to charge you to pick it up, you should consider putting a TB tag on it, and watch for some cacher to come pick it up!

Why not toss some McToys inside, paint the outside cammo, drag it out into the woods somewhere and log it as a new cache with a clever name like “Frozen in Time” or “Cold Hard Cache”?

If it’s still functional, I might have a place for it. I work for Second Harvest Food Bank and some of our hunger-relief agencies are in need of more freezer storage, but can’t afford to purchase a freezer. If you are interested in donating it (and getting a tax write-off), I may be able to find an agency in need of a freezer and make the link up. What size is it? If you are interested, let me know.

Yes It works and is free. I’m willing to donate it to whoever can use it. It would be shame to haul it to the dump since it still works good. It’s just not as energy efficient as today’s models.

I believe it’s approximately 15 cubic foot capacity. Outside dimensions are: 4’long x 3′ wide x 26″ deep.
