Notes from last year are we made 7 nescos of chili. I think there were 80 hot dogs with buns. All the hot dogs sold but for just a few. Chili, we ended up with much left over – 3 nescos? I brought containers to sell of or give away the rest.
Will need to watch the attends for the count and base the guess on how much chili from there.

I “think” that having the hot dogs takes away from chili sales, but it doesn’t matter too much. Just keep it in mind when figuring a number.
Depending on weather, I would guess there will be a similar turnout. Make 4 with one “hot spare”?02/04/2014 at 11:06 am #1973724Anyone want to write up the new blurb for the website’s front page?

02/12/2014 at 12:50 am #1973726When I was thinking I’d make the chili that was before I found out about our trip to Nebraska the weekend before for a wedding. If necessary I can cook up the meat, but it won’t be easy for me. Would anyone else be able to help with this? If not, I’ll do it.

Let’s not forget the Winter Event Commitee. Do we need to only brown the meat before hand? I can do whatever.
Brown up the meat, keep it warm in crock pot until we get there and then dump into the Nescos, add the watery parts, simmer for an hour or so- Bam, instant Chili.

02/12/2014 at 1:55 pm #1973728Last year, I browned up all the meat with onion and froze in 10 pound packages. Easy to assemble it that way early the morning of. Just needs to simmer with the rest of the ingredients.
02/12/2014 at 2:15 pm #1973729If someone else will brown the meat and onions, I will shop for the other ingredients. Now….do I have to buy noodles?!

02/12/2014 at 4:45 pm #1973732Can we divvy up cooking the meat?
I’ll do 10 lbs if someone else wants to take the other 10.
