I tried my first “chirp” today. I didn’t find the cache because of the terrain but it was kind of fun. It was the Twin Peaks in Doyne Park in Milwaukee. Is there a way to find more of these caches?
What do you all think of them? My only negative is that only Garmin has it available but Garmin is my fave so that isn’t a problem for me. I hope they make the technology more available.

If you are a premium member you can do a pocket query near the bottom in the Attributes to include section click on the “wireless beacon” attribute.

if the cache owner has it on the page, then they will show up

here is a list of ones that show up within 100 miles of Milwaukee

    Yes,

Garmin designed the chirp technology and have the rights to it. only newer units have the capability of hearing the “chirp’ Oregons, dakotas, montanas as far as i know.

On my Garmin GPSmap 62s, the menu has “show chirp details” so I’m assuming these units are also capable of finding them although I’ve never tried.

Read an article a couple weeks ago that Garmin was working on a chirp adaptor for the Iphone. That might help more people.
