Mark your calendars for the first ever WGA-organized CITO event on April 17. It will be held at a park somewhere in the Greater Milwaukee area. This will be held as part of the CITO events being organized worldwide on that day. Let’s show the rest of the world what the WGA can do. We’re still working out the details, including location. The plan will be to start with breakfast at a nearby restuarant and then pick up litter for a few hours until noon or so. As soon as we work out more details we’ll post them and post the CITO event at geocaching.com. We hope to see you then!

    Just a suggestion,

I recently did a few caches in Brown Deer park and noticed a lot of trash… Too much for one guy to carry.. This park would be a good one..

In case you haven’t seen it, the CITO event is listed here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=4601f67e-c393-48fa-97c2-3c67fef19333
This morning I scouted out the clean-up area and also looked for a place for breakfast that would meet our requirements. I talked with the manager at Einstein Bagels and he said it would be no problem to accomodate us. Even though they don’t have an extensive breakfast menu, they have plenty of free parking and it should not take long to get served — two requirements I was looking for. We have a good group already signed up — always looking for more who can help!

Come on folks, I would sure love to see more people sign up for the cito cleanup. Lets give a little back to the parks we play in .

Even if you can’t stay the whole time, show up and show your support.

I’m already committed to another community clean up event that same day. So I won’t be making it to the official CITO.

If I don’t have to work, I will try to come. Lately, I’m always working on the weekends…..

If you’re sitting on the fence about whether to come to the CITO event, maybe this will provide the incentive you need. The Beast is going to hide 8 temporary caches in and around the clean-up area. You’ll be able to hunt and log these as part of the event. Now, unless you have a cow to move Saturday*, we’ll see you there.

*Read the posts on the event page for an explanation.
