Hey all it’s time when all the CITO events are going on. I would like to make a plea to all the cachers to make an effort to get to one in the upcoming weeks. It is our big chance to show the local parks departments that we do care and we do take care of the parks. Not to mention it gives you that warm fuzzy feeling of doing some good in our communities.
Not to mention it is only a couple of hours of work then you can get together with friends and cache around in that area the rest of the day. So look for a CITO event listed in the events page and make some plans to give back.
And keep in mind that there are MANY ways you can volunteer and help out. Even if you are not comfortable with cleaning up trash there are other ways you can assist. Holding the bags open, helping with registration, donating food, helping serve food, helping with prize drawings, helping keep family members entertained 🙂 etc.
Attending a CITO event is a great way to give back to the communities we all live, work, and especially geocache in.
This is also a great way to represent the sport and the WGA organization.
If you are near any of these cities on 4/19:
– Stevens Point
– Appleton
– Waukesha
Or these cities on 4/26:
– Greenbay
(If I missed any dates/cities, please post a followup)
Please consider donating a few hours of your day to helping out. You will feel good about helping out, I gaurantee it!
Plus you get a smiley 🙂
Congrats to a job well done on the Appleton CITO Event.
Please check out the cache page to see pictures and read logs from the cleanup: GC19PTZ
It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun. If you have a chance to get to an event, try to. You will not regret it!

We all had a good time from climbing the hills to picking up the trash. The worst part was having to pick up the unmentionable that was found. Glad I had the grabber.
Oh winning a coin and a couple of nano’s was pretty cool too.
