i just finished the orient express. in 370th place. i was still in the running for the copper commemorative coin. it took something like this game to get me over the change of seasons, where i would normally go into hibernation and slow my caching way down. and it was nice to have puzzles that were solvable.
It was nice to have a bunch of Wisconsinites participating. I hope they have another one in the spring like last year. These quests are an excellent way to get some caches done that you may not have ever done otherwise!
This next game should prove much harder now for me as I have really been clearing my area of late…..I go my coin from the game but was bummed to see that it was engraved wrong.
Should have been engraved to say: “Lostby7”
Was actually engraved as “7th Place lostby”
Now if I was 7th place it wouldn’t have been so bad but I came in 38th.
I contacted them about it and I’m hoping they will take care of the situation, but I haven’t heard from them about it yet…perhaps after the holiday they will get back to me.

I got it on Sat the 30th. They placed the engraving orders in batches. I was among the first batch engraved. An order will be slowed down if you ordered any of the decryption coins…I did also receive a “Shipment notice” in my email a few days before the coin showed up on my doorstep.
The latest email I received indicated that the Orient Express coins ordered before 12/11 will ship January 2-4. Post Offices are closed today in honor of President Ford.
If you ordered your coin after 12/11, it will ship on January 10.
I believe the Lizard and Toad coins are to be shipped around the 2nd as well (or rather, the 3rd).

Yep, she did in fact come in 7th……I was 38th (or something like that). They are sending me a new coin with the same tracking number on it so I will have the extra one hanging around…..But as the coin is $18. I don’t so much mind having the two for one special.
Just got word that there continues to be snafus with getting the coins from overseas (earthquake or something). Coins may not arrive to The Caching Place until later in the week.

Well, yes. You will have yours and LB7 will have his. But it is funny that the error coin has your placing and his name. The two of you should get together and do something with it. Because what are the chances??
