Hi! I need your help. I am new to this, and just picked up my first travel bug. This little guy, Travel Hero TB, has a goal to get to all of the state capitols. He has been stuck in MN since June. I am wondering if any of you folks are headed this way soon, perhaps to watch the hapless Vikings play the hapless Packers?? Easy now, I am a former Badger,a nd my parents live in WI, so I love all Cheeseheads.
If anyone is interested, I can drop him in a cache near I-94, or maybe we can meet up. Someone living in Madison, or who visits Madison would be ideal.
Thanks for your help! Tesser
10/21/2005 at 4:35 pm #1740879Very nice of you to try to help this little guy along.
There is a cacher in this area named Ranger Boy that usually has tickets to the Vikings/Packer game. I know he has gone to MN in the past for previous season’s games. You may want to try to e-mail him directly (and quickly) to see if he is coming to the area this weekend. You can probably go to the geocaching site and look for him and e-mail him through his profile.
Good luck.

10/22/2005 at 10:24 pm #1740881That is a bummer we just came back from Woodbury today.
10/23/2005 at 6:38 pm #1740882Sorry folks! If you know anyone at the Packers/Vikings game – give them a call! I dropped it in the Sunset at Powers Lake cache in Woodbury, less than 2 miles off of I-94. It is a fairly easy find, about 100 feet from a road.
10/27/2005 at 12:14 pm #1740883DOH! I did go to the game but got this notice too late.
Not only that but I was humiliated by Vikings fans as the game turned in the second half and the purple braided ones took the game in the final seconds with a 56 yard field goal. I got to drive home as the purple fans hung banners over the I-94 overpasses that said “Go home cheeseheads!”I hate to rain on their parade but I don’t think the “Bye-Queens” are going anywhere in the playoffs either. In fact after their little boat escapade the “Tice-Tanic” is sinking fast!
11/10/2005 at 10:04 pm #1740884I saw this thread awhile ago and thought someone would be able to help out sooner than us. Thanks to B.Queen for bringing it to my attention. Unless anyone goes earlier….we are going to Minneapolis for the Thanksgiving break. We’d love to help it get out of Minnesota. Tami
