My cousin’s daughter had open heart surgery just after she was born. She is now entering her freshman year in high school. She enjoys showing off her scars.

Nice site. Because I live so much closer to the Twin Cities, my patients almost always to the hospitals there rather than driving that far.

Hit #1,090!!! Although, our family has not suffered from any diagnosed congenital heart defects, I have high school and college friends whome have been directly affected. One of my closest friends and I once spent an entire day in “jail” to raise money for the Shriner’s Hospital. We called everyone we knew for “bail” money and everyone we called opened up their wallets to help. It is truely amazing how people can come together in support of a good cause.
