Today, 06/11/11, myself and Shawnee6570 drove 200 miles roundtrip to Kaukauna to attack Hitman4’s Military Series. (GC26E2A, GC26E70, GC26ERC, & GC26E4C) What a great cool day to go after this series that I have heard so much about and have read so many logs about. What an amazing series and a break from guardrails and park n rides (NOT that theres anything wrong with those as well, we love them all). I have to admit, I was shaking at just the sheer idea of going after Navy Seal, but my partner gave me the encouragement (mostly like “hey, we didnt drive all the way up here for you to puss out!”) and getting us both to the cache. It was a rush to say the least. I’m really really REALLY glad I didnt attempt these in the winter blizzard like I was going to this past winter, WOW, it wouldve been 4 DNF’s that day I can tell you. 🙂 Well, my shoulder hurts from patting myself on the back right now. 🙂 Thanks for listening.

Yes ther is a very nice patch you get when you log all of the caches.

Cograts on being the next group to eter us elite group of cachers. Wear the patch with pride I know I do.

Glad you brought a safety man with you. Walkingadventure teamed up with us to make the grab on the military series. It gave us both more confidence to go after harder caches.

Good job and welcome to the Goecacher Special Forces Team.

ps: But, now you have to live up to the expectations. You will hear “send in Mr GSF”, Or “not much of a GSF member if you don’t get this one”, and “did you buy that patch or earn it”. Yes, a double edged sword indeed.

You mean a badge/patch like this one?

Hoping you upload some photos as we continue to “watch” that cache series. Run and Search #9 and WalkingAdventure #10

“As Commanding Officer of base NAVGEO, it is my high honor to present the Geocacher Special Forces Award to the following recipients who by completing this military cache series have distinguished themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of injury above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in the sport of Geocaching.”

Congratulations to goirish75 & Shawnee6570 on becoming the 28th and 29th members of the Geocacher Special Forces.

                Well done men!
