I personally don’t place a cache for the log notifications, though I admit that they are fun to read. I really put out caches as a way to thank and pay back those who took the time to put out caches for me to find. IMHO that is reward and payment enough for me.

    Okay, I feel a bit convicted. 😕

I have often posted something to the effect: been there – found it – thanks and God bless.

Like many others, here, though, my logs reflect the nature of the visit. If I enjoyed the cache or if something unusual happened, I usually log to that effect.

I guess this is an area where being a relative noobie (since late December ’06), I wasn’t aware people were really interested in how my visit was other than condition of the cache and what not.

I will certainly endeavor to write more about my visits.

I too use paper instead of a PDA (even before I broke the screen on my PDA and write notes to help myself remember, especially things like what I put in or took out or whether I chose a poor direction and pushed my way through a bunch of sticker bushes.
