I don’t know about Colgate, but down here in Racine County, we don’t usually see the corn mazes open until October. Did they tell you that they would be open by then?

Their website says Labor Day through Halloween. I see no reason why it couldn’t be in October. Do you know of any other farms in Racine that have the mazes?
I’ll post more info once I start contacting these places.

I think I found our winner in Colgate (NW of Menomonee Falls). http://www.bassesfarms.com/cornmaze.html The next closest one would have been Deerfield, WI (between Madison and Milwaukee). I’ll try to get more info and perhaps set a tentative date on gc.com.
Hey! Why stop at one? Maybe we can decide on different dates for each one and hit both. 😛
My husband went to school with the guy who owns the Deerfield maze. Hmmmm, interesting thought…… How did the Basses Farms people respond to your idea?
Schuster’s Playtime Farm
They won the North American Outstanding Corn Maze Design award last year.
06/04/2007 at 8:40 pm #1875425Here’s an angle to pursue…Basse’s sponsors the weather deck (decorations in fall) of a certain local TV station that also promotes geocaching. Will pm Greendale 4×4.
06/05/2007 at 2:32 am #1875426I’ve been toying with the idea of a corn maze get together for a couple years now. I would certainly be interested as long as work cooperates!!
Never been in a corn maze before, but I have a theory about geocachers and corn mazes……

06/05/2007 at 3:23 am #1875428Sound like it could be a lot of fun and I think a few activities could be planned for the youngsters. Fun for the whole family!!
06/05/2007 at 4:28 am #1875429They usually set one up just south of Mukwonago on Highway 83. I have no idea of the name, but as I searched, I came up with this site:

06/05/2007 at 4:29 am #1875430Oh, one more question. Is bushwacking against the rules?
06/07/2007 at 4:18 am #1875431Bushwhacking is definitely against the rules. I have done them and they are fun. Assuming you like to get lost.
