Now that the date has been set for the 16th, both of us will be able to come
10/06/2004 at 2:23 pm #1747837Hey Rhonda…any info on this yet? I’ve been watching to make sure we didn’t miss the sign up, and well…did we miss the sign up?
10/06/2004 at 4:35 pm #1747838I’m out of town on the 16th so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend.

KC9GMW10/07/2004 at 3:49 am #1747839Pat & I regret that we will also be out of town the 16th. It’s probably for the better, as we would have had a hard time choosing between your’s and Cathunter’s paddling event, as T&tb can attest. Our sincere thanks for all the work you have done with the Madison Parks Dept. This can only shine a brighter light on the geo-community in the Parks Dept.’s eyes.
Bob10/07/2004 at 3:36 pm #1747840I am going to work on the cache page today…and have it sent in for approval…I have been awaiting a few details from the City of Madison…especially regarding times…so I will be posting it today and it will be ready to go as soon as one of our great approvers gets to it.
Thanks to all of those that will be in attendance!10/09/2004 at 2:26 am #1747841Well we’re back in Wisconsin and you can put the Hotdogs Off Trail down for two seed-pickers. Murray wanted to gather only sticky ones that he would find, but I didn’t think that would be the best idea. See you all there.
10/12/2004 at 2:43 am #1747842Not sure if anyone has missed it like I did, so here is the link to the cache page: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=2d387ed4-7bd8-47fa-a54d-1b68aa95ecf3&log=y&decrypt=

See you in the AM!!!10/18/2004 at 1:38 pm #1747847This was a wonderful day! It was colder than any of us would have liked it to be, but when we considered the reason we were there it didn’t really matter. The park workers were very cool people. Though seemingly quite young, they were very knowledgeable about, and inspired by the work they do. They were also quite appreciative to have us there. I think I heard words of thanks at least 50 times in the 3 hours we were there. We collected a lot of the requested seeds, walked a bit more of the area than I expected to be able to walk and even got to grab a few caches before we left there. And yes, MsWiSearcher did get them out with the GPSR and both seemed to enjoy that. Will they do it again? One never knows!
The general consensus of the group involved is that we really need to get out there and do more of these types of things! We wander in and out of these areas on a daily basis, taking from and changing them forever. Why not expend a bit more of that energy giving back a little? I know that I’ll be watching and waiting for another chance to help out!
Thanks WiSeachers for setting this one up! -
