    We had a question about how to count some of the multi caches that are quite lengthy and where you need to get in the car and drive to another or even to 4 other locations. Do you count each stage and log those on or is just being a “multi” the correct way to count these. We did a 3 day marathon of caches in the Wi Rapids area this week and were wondering how most people count some of these finds.

    Someone wiser than I can contribute an answer that may be more correct than this one. IMO, if a cache has a log then it can be counted. In other words, if each stage of a multi has a signable log, then count it. No log in each stage, count only the final stage – the one with the log. (And, I don’t mean a wooden log!)

    I agree with Randy….. if it’s not a virtual cache- to be considered a find, it must have a logbook to sign.

    It is a good practice for a cache owner to make mention of their logging intentions on the cache page. In any case, it is the cache owners decision as to how many finds should be allowed for their cache.
