On the 1st Day, the D.O.T. laid out County Roads, so geocachers could drive all round this beautiful state.
On the 2nd Day, the D.O.T. put up road signs using good sturdy metal posts, so geocachers could attach magnets to them.
On the 3rd Day, the D.O.T. put up attractive little bridges over many small creeks, with plenty of dark places underneath them, soon to be filled with dirt, and creepy crawlies, and ammo boxes.
On the 4th Day, the D.O.T. began installing guard rails, so that geocachers could inserts small containers in the ends.
On the 5th Day, the D.O.T. began replacing those horrible metal sign posts with wooden ones, with little holes in the base, so geocachers could plant caches in them.
On the 6th Day, the D.O.T. laid out super highways, to carry Muggles to distance places, and created lots of Dead Ends for geocachers to poke around in.
On the 7th Day, the D.O.T. ….. gave up!
On the 8th day…..what’s wrong with you??? They put out park and rides…. 😀 And life was good.
and you forget roundabouts and boulevards…
They haven’t given up…they’ve moved to Oconto and Peshtigo to create bypasses with new trails and kiosks nearby to apologize for detouring traffic around our fair communities…and a myriad of dead-end streets…but providing us with new hidey-holes. Trust me…they’ve been busy!
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
Sorry. I have to disagree with day 7.
On the seventh day, the DOT rested — and all the roads went right to . . . well. . . . potholed straight paths that ruin suspensions and tires!!!
😮
And on the 9th day they said, “Heck no! You can’t put a geocache in a wayside!!! A guard rail on a busy street is much better and safer.”
