As shocking as it may me, I’m not quite the jet setting millionaire playboy as my profile would suggest. In actuality, I’m simply a 37-year-old father of three, raised in Racine and living in Kenosha.

I’ve been geocaching since April of 2002. I read both the WGA and GC.com forums regularly to keep up on the current topics and trends, and throw in my thoughts when I have something to share. Because of my proximity to Illinois and the number of finds I have there, I also keep tabs on the GONIL group.

My current “claim to fame” is the stats site, It’s Not About the Numbers which I develop and operate. I also run these forums for Racine, Kenosha, and Lake County, IL geocachers.

Currently, I’m working at SC Johnson in Racine doing regulatory research for EPA-related matters, although my degrees are in molecular biology, chemistry, and programming.

While I certainly have my own opinions on various “hot button” topics in geocaching, my general philosophy is that geocaching is like Monopoly: While there many guidelines in place to make the game fun for everyone, there are also many unwritten “house rules” that people also play by. I have my own standards, and you may have your own standards, and even if I don’t agree, as long as you aren’t violating the basic set of guidelines that GC.com has handed down, I’m not going to judge you.

(I think in the past I’ve also compared geocaching to an omelet. Now I don’t know if I’m hungry or should be trying to land on Boardwalk…)

What do I have to offer the WGA? I think it’s all mixed in above: Almost five years experience, a desire to give something back to the community, and the belief that even though big decision have to be made now and then, above all this is all just a fun recreational activity!

Thanks to those who nominated me, and thanks for your consideration on the ballot!

Don’t forget to mention you have a couple “Cache of the the year” awards under your belt too.

Another creative cacher – we have certainly enjoyed CD’s caches, and consider them very memorable.

Also, attended an excellent planned event run by Dave, and truly enjoyed meeting him.

Some absolutely excellent Nominees here – while Im in IL, I certainly think the WGA has some absolutely excellent members, and has chosen some outstanding nominees.

I haven’t gotten any calls from Hillary or George Bush on your behalf. That has to say something.
