Do you keep a Geocaching journal?

I just started to write a journal about my adventures in Geocaching. Most of them are fresh enough that I remember quite a bit about each one. And my count is still low enough that it won’t take too long 🙂

Yes always to paper journal.
Yes sometimes on the photo journal. Stopped after the first 1000 doing it for every cache.

Hmm….there was a no answer, but I’m not sure where it went. I’ll have to see if I can add one in. Okay, looks like I need Admin help on this one.

Yes, if you count my logs on Groundspeak.

That is one of the reasons that I try to write a bit about each find when I log my finds. Plus, a good log is the only pay that a cache placer gets for placing their cache, and I feel that a good cache deserves a well thought out log. (On the other hand, PNGs deserve a cut and paste log, and that is what they get.)

What Ralph and Rob said. We both like to tell our stories in our logs and I take a lot of photos. I already have two blogs, one for storytelling and one for birding, both being ignored. My written journals are for specific trips (like when I went to Hawaii) or just regular journaling.

No to a journal of any type, but we take lots of photos. I scrapbook all of our geocaching adventures. We just got back from the scrapbook store and buying supplies. It’s a winter avtivity for us on days when we don’t go out geocaching. Sunshine scrapboks all of the family photos (birthdays, holidays, etc.) and I do all of the geocaching events and adventures.

Ditto the several posts that said online logs. On occasion it has been a simple statement and thanks, but usually I reference scenery, muggles, difficulty in finding it, weather, cache container, whatever the situation presents. I may not remember a cache by name, but I can by what I wrote. It may or may not be of interest to others.

We consider our logs a written Journal. We do take more pictures then I can count. I should consider posting some of them, besides the TB we move along.

No journals or anything, but we usually write lengthy logs on our finds (and some DNFs), and we can look back at those to remember each cache adventure. We also take lots of photos, and many we have uploaded to our cache logs, both for us to remember and for others to see some of the things we have enjoyed.

No, but I think it’s a good idea. I don’t have that many find yet so I could go back and do a recap – maybe a summary log by day. Some information that might be interesting to capture: miles driven/walked, weather conditions, what else did I see/find that was interesting…
