Does anyone know the web site where they sell a dog tag that you can attach to a geocoin to help identify it as a trackable item? These looked like a GC.com travel bug but had no #’s and said in general that the item that was attached to it was trackable item and is not meant to be kept.
10/06/2008 at 7:23 pm #1896750I think you’re talking about a Travel Bug Buddy.
I’ll email you the website.PM sent.

I did not find a Travel Bug Buddy at the site that you sent me.
10/07/2008 at 4:36 am #1896752is there a difference between the Groundspeak – Travel Bug®
and the Groundspeak – Travel Bug® for Hitchhikers (besides the cost)?Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
10/07/2008 at 11:43 am #1896753I’ve always wondered that myself. I order from them regularly and all I can say is that the cheaper one sometimes drops off the site and then comes back so maybe it’s like a sale item or something but not clearly marked that way?
I just always order the cheaper item 😛
10/07/2008 at 12:09 pm #1896754We’re attaching object to coins now? Have I been away from finding caches that long? Why not encase your coin in a larger container? You can write whatever you want on the larger container. I know that Hobby Lobby sells some really nice coin collecting stuff.

Keep looking on that site. They are there somewhere because that is where I order mine from.

I used to do that and my coins disappeared even faster being in a nice protective case that prevented damage. Now I drill a nice size hole, stops the thief’s, and put one of the dog tag items on it, makes sure new folks know what to do.
10/09/2008 at 1:22 am #1896758What I do is make my own tags using photo holder key chains. You can get them at a good price on e-bay.
10/20/2008 at 2:20 am #1896759Clicked on geoswag.com’s homepage tonight and the geocoin buddy tags were on the main page near the bottom.
