First off please I do not want this to be relighting an earlier argument that has been in forums, I feel this is a fair question but we dont need to rehash what has already been said.
There has been some suggestion that the WGA could have handled the ticket system in order to qualify for door prizes. I have seen lets just not do them, you should get one ticket for coming and that is it, run separate door prizes for temp and perms, put temps and perms on the same game card, to leave it the way it is.
I know there is not one correct answer to this, but I would like to know if you we solely in charge of the door prize distribution how would you do it? Is it one I have listed above, do you have a novel approach I have missed?
Thanks

Many of the suggestions that have been made previously would certainly be looked at and there is merit in most as we would want to make things as “fair” as we could.
One possible option would be that there are separate drawings. One for the general group where everyone gets a ticket and perhaps, like occur at WTU banquets and other functions, of having any additional tickets recieved for temp caches, games, contests, etc, put into any number of additional prize groups. If you get additional tickets, you can opt to put any or all of these additional tickets in one or more of the addtional drawing groups. Each group would have different prizes.
For example:
drawing 1 : 4 geocoins – four tickets drawn
drawing 2 : 5 LED flashlights – five tickets drawn
drawing 3 : 2 igloo coolers – two tickets drawnwhichever drawing has something that interests you, you can put additional tickets in, as many as you want to increase your chances.
I guess if you wanted to put your general drawing ticket in one of the other drawings, you would have that option too.Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.

Oops… wrong question….. One person = One ticket.
There should also be only one drawing not separate drawings for different events. (ie door prizes, temp caches)
No one should be penalized/rewarded for searching for temps/permanent hides or for participating or not participating in other stuff, like turkey shoot, sack race, etc.
Easy Answer is One person = one ticket
01/23/2010 at 2:53 pm #1920841For the general raffle, 1 ticket per person.
01/26/2010 at 5:30 am #1920842I think it should be 1 Ticket for one person.
01/27/2010 at 6:28 pm #1920843I don’t feel strongly about this either way, but it seems there is a very vocal minority who object to folks getting “rewards” for finding temporary caches. Since the ones receiving the rewards are unlikely to complain if they are taken away, I guess I would go along with the one person/one ticket plan as a “peacekeeping” decision. But seriously, we are talking about door prizes here. The intent of the door prize drawing is to provide an additional fun activity at the events. If it isn’t fun, or the “rules” make people upset, maybe we should reconsider the activity altogether.
01/29/2010 at 8:28 pm #1920844I would like to see it be 1 ticket per person attending for the main prize drawing, and have something separate for hunting temps or other activities held at the event.
