Well, he hasn’t forgotten! He’s on a local radio program right now and mentioned he talked to a ” concerned citizen about DOT policies”
Sweet!
Well done!05/01/2010 at 3:47 am #1924649One more note. Sen. Jauch stopped by work is morning and dropped me a note saying “that he was having his office call the DOT office and start looking into it”.

Well…my buddy Bob.( He calls me Chris, I call him Sen. Jauch…) was in the store again today. Said he has talked to the DOT and they are considering some changes to their policies. He said there seems to have been some misconcepetions and not enough facts before. I said I thought the WGA sent some info again with their request. He said that “They” have a better understand of goecaching now. And then there he was….gone!
So, things seem to be moving in a positive direction 😀

Hope he paid his bill! 😉
Excellent job, Bob’s Buddy! With all of our recent travels, we’ve visited quite a few rest stops in the state. No caches to look for in any of them. 🙁 Looking forward to that changing soon! 😀 Thanks for hanging in there on this, Chris.05/23/2010 at 2:05 am #1924653Thanks Chris,
good to hear that he didn’t just blow it all off and that there is some dialogue. Can’t wait to hear something from the DOT.Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
05/24/2010 at 8:31 pm #1924654That’s great to hear. Sometimes getting that personal touch is what it takes, thanks for sharing yours! 😉
01/29/2011 at 3:28 am #1924655HEY! Could someone either email/send me the proposal that the WGA sent to the DOT or Send it to Sen, Bob Jauch’s office. He was in the store this afternoon and I told him that the DOT pretty much snubbed the proposal. He’s more than willing to submitt it from his office and said that maybe getting the Dept of Tourism involved would not be a bad idea either.
01/31/2011 at 3:19 am #1924656Greyhounder was the one who approached the DOT, but I don’t believe we ever got to the formal proposal stage. (Becky, please correct me if I’m wrong.) I am going to throw together a draft proposal and post it to the BOD forums. Chris, if you don’t hear back from me by Wednesday, PM me to remind me to push the question.
