01/12/2010 at 8:27 pm #1919995Yes, so big and bold. No more pics of the sick frog
01/12/2010 at 8:30 pm #1919996I’m hoping this means they are adding the new EarthCache applications to the system….
Oh ya! New feature added today:13374: EarthCaches: make the EarthCache type available to everyone
Added ability for users to select Earthcache type when submitting a new cache01/12/2010 at 8:33 pm #1919997If the site was any more reliable, I might have already paid my money to become a premium member.
As it is, I have less than a 50% success rate on geocaching.com.
Not necessarily 404-errors, etc., but problems where I have to submit the page numerous times, or click refresh a half dozen times before I get to whatever it is I’m looking for.IF it’s money they need to deliver a reliable website that works when you need it to, I for one wouldn’t mind looking at advertisements.
Personally, I don’t want to pay for a product they can’t deliver 100% of the time.01/12/2010 at 8:46 pm #1919998This is the first time I tried to go out and got that message. I for one will give them a Tuesday so I can still cache on Saturday!

This is quite often exactly why Groundspeak does their maintenance on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. So that any changes they make to the software/hardware will not impact the weekends.
I would guess it’s a planned site update.

I think I like that new word 😀
01/13/2010 at 1:09 am #1920005Interesting face lift.
01/13/2010 at 1:31 am #1920006Looks good to me. Here is the improvement that will be nice:
11424: Attributes included in GPX files.
Added ability to set version preference in user profile; default is still the original (old) versionzuma
01/13/2010 at 1:33 am #1920007I don’t like the overall look, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I *did* notice that same improvement, Ralph, and have already set my preferences!
01/13/2010 at 1:56 am #1920008With GC redoing the web page I lost six of eight bookmarks. Did anyone else have that happen? Boy that sucks!! I guess they call this progress.
