It’s back down.
01/13/2010 at 2:03 am #1920010I for one am happy that they updated the Dutch language, I was having trouble showing people that spoke Dutch what geocaching was.. 😛
Looked good when I was able to get on…
01/13/2010 at 2:07 am #1920011I don’t like the look. It is like they made every section of the page the same size. Also too much white space and I don’t like all the tables. It looks too busy with them! The maps for seasrching also did not allow me to eliminate my caches and finds. Oh yea, it is my page, caches and travel bugs owned, not “your”s!
01/13/2010 at 2:11 am #1920012I would say the update may have also broken our site’s “Recent Logs” functionality. May be too early to tell but I don’t think that function was processing new logs from the page it is directed at when the new updated site was up later this afternoon.
Considering this site update modified many aspects of how the page looks, perhaps this recent logs process could be impacted?
01/13/2010 at 2:20 am #1920013It’s like magic…wow.. all my bookmarks are back. 😀 😀
01/13/2010 at 2:22 am #1920014I really don’t like the look …at all.
01/13/2010 at 3:07 am #1920015Wow! Change can really be tough sometimes. 😕
01/13/2010 at 3:19 am #1920016Addl waypoint tables are Ug-ly

Awesome – Thanks for the link. Looks like some good progress.
01/13/2010 at 3:26 am #1920019It’s an upgrade!!!!!!!!!!
As a professional developer (i.e. CodeJunkie) please remember the mantra.
No good upgrade goes unpunished.
I’m sure there will be some glitches, but we have to expect that when they make upgrades.

lol…I wondered how you’d respond to this with your background…(I still think it’s ugly).
01/13/2010 at 3:34 am #1920021It didn’t take them long to make quite a few fixes… I can live without Ground Speak for just a little while…

The analogy – Think about the last major purchase you made with your significant other and how many “discussions” you had about it. I like green, she likes red, etc. Now multiply this times the number of members …
Some are going to like the same change that you hate (and vice versa). Hopefully they’re making these changes for a reason and doing it with purpose.
If all else fails, then we just have to use the “other” mantra.
It’s just software – they can change it.

Couldn’t figure out why no one else was out caching on this lovely day, considering that even WE were out and about! No trouble logging our finds (didn’t try till just a bit ago), but I like seeing who else found what.
Agree: too much white. Dislike the “double space” look–too much like term papers! 🙄 But then again I’m not good with change…
